Prior to joining the British Business Bank, Esi was the Interim Director of Business Group at UK Export Finance, with oversight of the department’s underwriting, origination, marketing, and communications.
Esi was also a member of UKEF’s Executive Committee, and held multiple senior roles in the department, including Director of Legal and Compliance, and specialised in international project finance transactions. Esi began her career in law at Simmons and Simmons and holds a masters level degree in Geological Sciences from Exeter College, University of Oxford.
Esi was awarded an OBE for services to Corporate Law and Compliance in the last Queen’s Birthday Honours list in 2022.
