Hours: Full Time
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

An opportunity has arisen for a Data Quality Manager within the Business Intelligence team to work on a new project which has been set up to continuously review and improve the quality of British Business Bank’s (BBB’s) data over time. The project is fully supported by the BBB’s Senior Management Team.
The successful candidate will ensure that BBB’s Data Governance regime functions effectively and apply sound understanding of data principles to problem solve issues with the quality of data inputted into BBB’s systems.
The job holder would be responsible for:
• Ownership of the quality of data used for management information, reporting and analysis in BBB.
• Problem solving and suggesting improvements to the quality of data inputted into the system when needed.
• Ownership of the BBB Business Data Dictionary
• Ownership of the data issue resolution process including chairing Data Governance working groups
The British Business Bank is a unique and exciting new institution. Our objective is to make finance markets work better for UK small businesses. It was established in 2014 as a development bank for the UK managed independently from Government and under the governance of its own board of directors, with the aim of improving access to finance for small and medium sized businesses. We have around £4bn of capital resources and operate as a wholesale institution in a wide range of financial services markets ranging from bank lending to venture capital. Currently, we employ around 170 people, split between our two offices in London and Sheffield.
