With British Business Bank support RateSetter was able to help David Anderson, the Principle of Anderson Architect of a small architectural firm established in 1985 in Portadown.

Anderson Architect needed funding during 2014 for operational costs and, having been told that traditional bank finance was unlikely especially within the Construction Services Sector, David turned to the world of alternative finance.

In early 2014 David applied for a loan with peer-to-peer lender RateSetter and a further loan in late 2014. In partnership with the British Business Bank, RateSetter was quickly able to provide David’s firm with a competitive loans to cover these costs and secure ensuring ‘stabilisation’ of this successful business during a very long (6yr) downturn within the Northern Ireland Residential sector.
