All candidates must have the right to work in the UK before applying for any vacancies. Please note that we do not accept speculative applications or CVs.
The hiring manager & recruitment team shortlist prospective candidates to invite to interview and agree the format/content of the interview.
The format of each interview depends on the role being recruited for. Assessment may include a combination of presentations, case studies and competency-based questions.
Second interviews are usually either a one-to-one with the relevant Managing Director or a panel interview with members of the Senior Management Team.
Please note that not all roles will have two interviews. Sometimes interviews will be a panel interview, but candidates will always get to meet more than one British Business Bank employee as part of the process
If you are successful at interview stage, you will be offered the role verbally. When you have accepted the verbal offer, a contract will be sent to you. You must complete the new joiner paperwork within the specified time frame and return it to the HR team. This will ensure you are added to the payroll and set up on our other systems before you start.
As soon as the paperwork has been signed and returned, you will be subject to our screening process. All our employees undertake a DBS security check. Offers are conditional and dependent on passing these checks. The screening process will begin with an email to you from our supplier, Agenda – you will need to click on the link and submit your personal and reference details, upload copies of your ID and give details of your employers over the past five years. Agenda will use the information to verify your identity, confirm the information you have provided is correct, and provide security clearance.
